The Committee on Legal Affairs of the Georgian Parliament quickly voted in favor of the scandalous draft law on “foreign agents” in the third reading, Front News Georgia reports.
It is noted that it took only 1 minute and 7 seconds.
The report emphasizes that there were no questions or comments from the audience. The meeting ended quickly. However, after this short period of time, clashes between police and demonstrators in front of the parliament building began at seven in the morning.
It is known that tomorrow, May 14, the bill will be put to a vote during the plenary session.
Earlier, we reported that this morning the Interior Ministry's special forces began to forcefully disperse a protest in Tbilisi against the adoption of the law on “foreign agents.” The incident occurred near the parliament building, where law enforcement officers got off the buses and began dispersing the protesters.
