Nayev: Delivery of F-16 with missiles for 300-500 kilometers is expected

Ukraine will receive more long-range weapons from its Western allies. F-16s with missiles with a range of 300-500 kilometers are expected to be delivered. This was announced by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, according to the command's Facebook page.

"In the next packages of military aid, Ukraine expects F-16 aircraft and missiles with a range of 300-500 kilometers, which will allow the Ukrainian Defense Forces to achieve even greater success on the battlefield and liberate our territory from the enemy," Nayev said.

According to Nayev, with the arrival of the M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems in the summer of 2022, and later the M270 MLRS, the enemy suffered even more significant losses in the logistics of its forward units and was forced to move its field depots and control points more than 100 km from the front line.

"This led to an increase in the logistical "shoulder" of supplying ammunition and material resources, complication of troop management, loss of offensive capabilities and transition to forced defense (and later to a "goodwill gesture" from the right bank of the Dnipro and evacuation from Kherson)," Nayev said.

The general also noted that with the entry into service in April 2023 of the PATRIOT anti-aircraft missile system, Ukraine's missile shield was further strengthened by increasing the range of destruction of aerodynamic targets at a distance of up to 150 km.
