In Ryzhivka on the border of Sumy region, Russia attempted to probe the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC, Andriy Kovalenko.
“Sumy region. As of now, this is not the beginning of what happened in Kharkiv region. The Russians tried to test the defense in the direction of Ryzhivka, which is a "companion" of the Russian Tetkino. There are no active actions in the border area yet,” Kovalenko said.
He did not specify under whose control Ryzhivka is now. But he noted that the Defense Forces are controlling the situation, and “the enemy has suffered a fire defeat.”
“We should not compare the situation with Kharkiv region as of 08:00. The threat of Russian actions in the border area remains, yes,” Kovalenko added.
As we reported earlier, Kadyrov claimed capture of Ryzhivka village, and local authorities denied this information.
