Ukrainian men of military age have the right to sign a contract for service in the Armed Forces for a period of one year. This applies to those who come to the TCC voluntarily, without a summons. This was stated by Fedir Venislavsky, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
“If a person comes to the TCC without a summons, he has the right to sign a 1-year contract,” he said.
According to him, such a person is not considered mobilized. Venislavsky also added that after the end of the contract, i.e. in a year, a person can stop serving.
“We provided such an opportunity for those who voluntarily join the military service,” he explained.
It should be reminded that the provision on demobilization after 36 months of service was removed from the draft law on strengthening mobilization that is currently under consideration. As a result, even those who joined the Armed Forces voluntarily since the beginning of the war cannot leave.
In addition, any person who appears at the TCC can be served with a summons and mobilized. The only relief was provided for those who came without a summons to clarify their data. According to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution, they are not entitled to be sent to the medical commission immediately, but must be issued a separate summons.
