The Government is working to stimulate alternative energy: plans to exempt energy equipment from duties and VAT

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted that the government is actively working to create alternative energy sources in Ukraine.

At the meeting held on June 3, the possibility of exempting energy equipment from duties and VAT was discussed, which will help consumers and businesses to provide themselves with alternative energy.

Other measures are also being discussed, including the simplification of customs procedures and the provision of preferential loans for the purchase of generating equipment.

The possibility of installing gas piston plants in each regional center is being considered.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of preparing for a difficult heating season, especially in the context of Russia's actions aimed at attacking Ukraine's energy system.
