Transformer substation was destroyed in Kyiv after a missile attack

On the night of May 31, Russia attacked Ukraine, in particular Kyiv, with an Iskander-K cruise missile from the Kursk region, which was destroyed in the Kyiv region.

The wreckage of the downed missile caused a fire in the capital, damaging a service station, car wash, cars, and a warehouse. There are no casualties, according to KCMA.

DTEK added that a transformer substation in the Holosiivskyi district was destroyed after the morning attack.

“This morning, missile fragments damaged the power grid and completely destroyed a transformer substation in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital,” the statement said.

DTEK managed to power most of the buildings using backup sources.

“About 10 private houses and one commercial premises remain without electricity. Electricity should be restored by the end of the day,” the power company said.
