At a press conference with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has the opportunity to stop the Russian offensive in the east of the country if it increases arms supplies.


Zelensky emphasized the need to take the initiative away from Russian troops by providing Ukrainian forces with strong weapons.


In addition, he noted that Ukraine has plans for military rotations and emphasized the importance of manned and mechanized brigades for effective defense.


Zelensky also noted that although there are arms deliveries to Ukraine, they do not correspond to the amounts voted for, but when the Armed Forces receive what they need, they will be able to stop Russia's initiative in the east.
