Presidents of the Baltic States call on the EU to strengthen support for Ukraine and Moldova in their accession to the EU

The Heads of State of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania expressed a united position on the importance of the European Union for the security of their countries during a joint speech on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of their accession to the EU.


They emphasized the importance of EU membership for security both regionally and globally, especially given their geopolitical proximity to Russia, which poses a direct threat to European and global stability.


The presidents also emphasized that Ukraine and other neighboring countries seeking to join the EU stand for common European values and promised to continue to support them in this struggle.
