Poland will send military to France to help with security at the Olympics

Poland has agreed to send its military to France to help with security measures during the Summer Olympics. Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote about this on Twitter (X).

 

 

The French Ministry of Defense appealed to Poland to involve military personnel from partner countries to support security measures.


"The Polish Armed Forces will join the international coalition created by France to support the preparation and security of the 2024 Summer Olympics," Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote.


According to him, an operational group, including canine experts with dogs, will be sent to Paris.


The main task of the group will be to detect explosive devices and anti-terrorist activities, the Polish minister added.
